Get to know Jacqueline

Hi! I’m Jacqueline Salomé, a freelance writer and communications specialist living on the traditional, unceded and ancestral territory of Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations in Vancouver.

My published work covers anything from arts + culture, outdoor adventure, travel, health + wellness, news and consumer insights. As a multi-passionate person with an insatiable curiosity, my interests are diverse and ever-evolving, but collective liberation is the narrative tie that binds.

My areas of focus generally include the rights of women, gender non-conforming and 2S/LGBTQI+ people, Indigenous rights, environmentalism, democratic empowerment, inclusive public policy, health equity and community programs for folks facing barriers.

I work with non-profits, social impact organizations and public agencies working toward a just, equitable and healthy world, including Women Transforming Cities, the Indigenous Engagement Institute, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute of Gender and Health and many small community organizations and non-profits across British Columbia.
